Disney has released a new paper guide map for Animal Kingdom that shows DinoLand U.S.A. completely removed from the park layout. In its place is a large area labeled "Future Home of Tropical Americas."
The updated map is now available at the park entrance. It reflects the closure of DinoLand, which shut down permanently on February 2 after its final day of operation on February 1.
What the New Map Shows
The area where DinoLand once sat is now shown as green space with trees. The label "Future Home of Tropical Americas" appears across the entire section.
All DinoLand attractions, dining locations, and shops have been removed from the map. This includes DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, the Dino Institute Shop, and the former Dino-Rama carnival area that closed in early 2025.
The digital map in the My Disney Experience app has also been updated to match the new paper version.
What Comes Next
Construction is already underway on the new 11-acre land replacing DinoLand, with the Tropical Americas expansion is set to open in 2027.
The new land will feature two signature attractions - an Indiana Jones adventure inside a Maya temple and an Encanto ride featuring the Madrigal family. A carousel with hand-carved Disney and Pixar animal characters will also be part of the land, along with one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World.
The Indiana Jones attraction will use the same building and ride system as DINOSAUR, but with an entirely new story and theme. The Encanto ride is being built on the former Dino-Rama footprint and will be a completely new attraction.
