Walt Disney World ticket prices for 2026 will reach new highs, with peak 1-day admission at Magic Kingdom hitting $209 per day. It's the first time a Disney World park ticket has crossed the $200 mark.

During the busiest holiday dates in November and December 2026, Magic Kingdom tickets will reach $209 per day, up from $199 during the same period in 2025. These $200+ tickets will apply only to a handful of dates surrounding Christmas and New Year's week.

Walt Disney World uses date-based pricing, meaning ticket costs vary depending on when you visit. Busier periods, such as holidays, command higher prices, while off-peak months offer lower rates. For example, Magic Kingdom tickets range from $139 in August and September to $209 in late December 2026.

2026 Ticket Pricing by Park

  • Magic Kingdom: $139 - $209
  • EPCOT: $134 - $199
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios: $139 - $204
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: $119 - $184

2025 Peak Price Comparison

For reference, peak pricing in December 2025 tops out at:

  • Magic Kingdom: $199
  • EPCOT: $189
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios: $194
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: $174

Today's 1-day ticket price increases come alongside a wide range of other adjustments across Walt Disney World. Annual pass prices, Lightning Lane options, premium experiences such as tours and fireworks cruises, and select food and beverage items have all seen price increases.

Only if you’re sitting ringside…

Therein lies the issue. When you come to Florida you need to drive like “Florida Man”. “Florida Man” does not need to drive like you.

That particular intersection is engineered for rapid flow, being a major evacuation route for central/southern Florida. So I can see how someone might correlate higher-than-normal traffic at that junction with the implementation or cessation of WDW discounts. Or it could just be Florida drivers mixing badly with a lot of people from other states.

Absolutely Im just disputing the notion that backup up Florida highways = good disney attendance That was a rather silly premise (not by you)

I think we're saying the same thing, i.e., that the Magic Kingdom is nice to visit on party days before the party begins.

Sirwalterraleigh27 days ago

Nope…actually the best days to go I have no interest in the upsells…but the day of before? It’s been pretty nice

The Magic Kingdom is generally not busy on party days before the party. Perfect time to visit if you have a Park Hopper ticket!

Apparently you can't discuss the economy. Since Disney prices and discounts can't be disconnected from the economy. I think I'll sit this one out.

There are still some places where Columbus Day is observed. If the government were open, it would have been a day off for them. No mail delivery. Some banks closed. Since it's called Columbus, this city's news spells it out: https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/columbus/columbus-day-services-impact/

In 2010, Iger went on record in an earnings call saying the goal at theme parks was to "slowly wean our guests off discounting. ... We don't believe that we're dealing with an economy right now that enables us to shut off the discounting immediately." Looks like the only economy they could quit discounting was in the post-pandemic pent-up travel (s)urge...
