Disney World's Magic Kingdom to Resume Extended Evening Hours in August 2025

Extended Evening Hours are set to return to Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, following a five-week run at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

After a 5 week July break, Extended Evenings Hours are set to return to Magic Kingdom in August

Disney's calendar now confirms that Magic Kingdom will resume hosting the after-hours benefit for deluxe resort guests starting August 13, from 10pm to midnight. In the meantime, Extended Evening Hours will move to Disney's Animal Kingdom on the following dates:

Wednesday, July 2, 2025
Wednesday, July 9, 2025
Wednesday, July 16, 2025
Wednesday, July 23, 2025
Wednesday, July 30, 2025
Wednesday, August 6, 2025

Each Animal Kingdom Extended Evening Hours event is currently scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, after the park closes for regular day guests. Disney has not announced which attractions will be available during the Animal Kingdom evenings, but prior events have typically included Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, and Dinosaur.

Extended Evening Hours are available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels. The offering allows for reduced wait times and a quieter experience after the official park closing.

These EEH have really thrown off our planning…! We expected (and semi-planned for) EPCOT on Monday and MK on Wednesday, so have had to shift everything around. Hopefully back to normal the week after for our second week!

Lame that they are sending it to AK though, usually outside of Christmas the backup for MK is DHS.

Usually when one of the parks has a party of some sort they don’t do EEH during that week. Happens all the time with MK and Epcot.

The CM Celebration event is taking place the day before at MK, with MK closing at 4:30pm on Tues 27th. Could this be related? I think they usually do have another CM event but not the following night.

According to posted park hours, Extended Evening Hours will occur at Disney's Animal Kingdom on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, instead of Magic Kingdom.

This is kinda crappy. The most popular park in the world closes early half the week during party season and they move the deluxe benefit to the park with the fewest attractions and the earliest close. For comparison, in 2021 they were doing EPCOT and MK with hours ending anywhere from 11:00pm to 1:00am
