Walt Disney World is expanding its dining plan lineup in 2027 with the addition of a new Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan, giving guests more flexibility when planning meals at the resort.

Starting in 2027, guests will be able to choose from three dining plans as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company package: the Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Table-Service Dining Plan, and the new Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan.

What's Changing in 2027

In 2026, two dining plans are available - the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. Both remain bookable this year.

From 2027, the lineup shifts to three options:

  • Quick-Service Dining Plan - 2 quick-service meals, 1 snack per night of stay
  • Table-Service Dining Plan - 1 table-service meal, 1 quick-service meal, 1 snack per night of stay
  • Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan - 2 table-service meals, 1 quick-service meal, 1 snack per night of stay

The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan is the new addition, designed for guests who want to do more sit-down dining during their stay. All three plans include a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug and access to Pizza Pick Up.

The Table-Service and Deluxe Table-Service plans also include access to Private In-Room Dining at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Character Dining, Dinner Shows, Fine/Signature Dining, and Dining Events.

How the Plans Work

Every guest aged 3 and over on the same room booking receives the same plan. The number of meals and snacks is based on the number of nights in your package stay, not the number of days.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Unused meals and snacks roll over day to day but expire at midnight on checkout day
  • Meals and snacks are non-transferable between party members
  • Guests aged 3 to 9 must order from a children's menu where available
  • Gratuities are not included
  • Advance reservations are strongly recommended - and may be required - at table-service restaurants
  • Some fine/signature dining and select Character dining experiences will deduct 2 table-service meal credits per person

Beverages are included with each meal. Guests under 21 can choose non-alcoholic options; guests 21 and older with valid ID can substitute beer, wine, or cocktails.

Kids Dining Savings

The savings offer for families changes between 2026 and 2027.

In 2026, kids aged 3 to 9 get a free dining plan when you purchase a package including a Disney Resorts Collection room and a dining plan for every guest aged 10 and up. Availability is limited and the dining plan must be purchased for all guests aged 10 and over for the full length of stay.

In 2027, kids aged 3 to 9 receive up to 20% off dining when you include a dining plan in your package. Actual savings vary based on menu items ordered.

Booking

Dining plans must be added as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a Disney Resort hotel stay. The plan must cover the full length of stay and the entire party aged 3 and over.

You can track remaining meals and snacks on your receipts or through the My Disney Experience app during your stay.

It does seem likely that TS in general will continue getting trimmed down to fewer (presumably) profitable restaurants like character meals or the highly themed prix fixe spots. Maybe a dining plan with more buffets as that’s generally been the tried and true method for feeding people at a lower cost. My guess is that snacks, festival food, and lounges do very well so we’ll see more movement in that direction.

Disney does a pretty good job of turning people over and shaking any extra cash out of their pocket. Pretty sure they would rather have the LL revenue which is pure profit and have TS tables sit empty.

Another way they can imo generate more people coming is change the age of adults for these character meals…. Charging full price on an already over priced meal for a 10yr old is absurd. Always has been. Maybe change that age to 13/14 & see if that moves the needle then adjust accordingly. They still making out on the deal as most kids are eating chicken nuggets mac & cheese along w “pizza”. Heck most adults arent eating what they charge and no way a 10 yr old is

or even better, simply give a really big discount when and where you need it. Like say… 40%!? :)

You know who you could convince to go to table service restaurants and take a break from riding really easy? People who go there often, like APs, DVC, and Locals. Imagine if you had a discount club, where for an annual fee, you got 20% off anything at a TS restaurant (including alcohol) to make sure the servers aren’t robbed of their tip, have a 20% tip be automatically added. Then to encourage going to hotel restaurants throw in free valet. I’m sure some marketing wizz could come up with a great name for that card, it’s right on the tip of my tounge…

I feel like the obvious solution for low dining reservations is to actually make the dining plan a discount, maybe 20% on average. I think this is what Great Wolf does. Yes you lose that hypothetical 15-25% but you lock people in when, at the moment, they’re choosing other options.

There must be some exceptions like character meals and 'Ohana, but it's not hard to understand why some people are skipping table service. Easy thing to cut back on if you feel you're already spending a lot on admission, lightning lane, hotel etc

Will be curious to see what you think. We didn’t add the kids eat free dining plan because quick service at our hotel is already a pretty good deal, so with quick service entrees only being $8 - $13 we would have needed to “maximize” snacks and table service. We want to do Space 220 and Beak and Barrel (not on the plan) and even if we didn’t, the extra legwork involved seemed like unnecessary stress. For a young adventurous person willing to put in some extra time and steps you could probably come out ahead… again, will be curious what you think.

At polite pig you are not allowed to sit at a table until you have ordered and have a pager. I’ve actually seen this enforced even when the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. This is the same system they used at Beasts Castle when it was QS.

YES. Jungle (Dinner) Cruise! Now that I think of it, GOtG is like the opposite of that
