Disney Cruise Line has revealed new dates and details for the Disney Destiny, its latest ship, set to embark on its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on November 20, 2025.

The four-night cruise will provide guests with a first look at the ship's features and include stops at both Disney Cruise Line's island destinations in The Bahamas—Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Following the maiden voyage, the Disney Destiny will continue with an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Each cruise will feature a day at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay. Some itineraries will include stops at both islands, while select cruises will offer additional destinations such as Nassau, Bahamas, and Cozumel, Mexico.

Bookings for the Disney Destiny will open to the general public on September 12, 2024, with early access available for Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members starting September 6, 2024.

The Disney Destiny will offer a variety of new experiences, including Cask and Cannon, a pirate-themed pub inspired by the "Pirates of the Caribbean" attractions at Disney Parks. This venue will feature an extensive menu of specialty and vintage rums, along with unique brews served straight from the barrel.

Other unique onboard offerings include:

  • Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King: A dining experience celebrating the music of Disney's "The Lion King."
  • "Disney Hercules": A Broadway-style show retelling the story of the popular Disney film.
  • De Vil's: A piano lounge themed around Cruella de Vil.
  • Edna Á La Mode Sweets: A confectionary inspired by Pixar's "The Incredibles."
  • The Sanctum: A lounge themed around Marvel's Doctor Strange and his mystical world.
  • The ship will also feature staterooms and suites with custom artwork of Disney characters, a new storyline aboard the AquaMouse water attraction, and tributes to Marvel superheroes.

I understand. This class has a very different aesthetic, but I think it's more indicative of the entire Disney brand currently, not just a choice of ships.

It's all stuff I would expect to see in a themed restaurant in a theme park somewhere. Not slapped on the wall of my cruise ship stateroom. Elegance. Class. Two very important design elements from the first four ships that are completely missing here with the Wish class ships, this one in particular. Instead, you have hit-you-over-the-head-with-Marvel-and-other-random-Disney-characters-at-sea.

Yeah I’m definitely not the target audience for this but I’m sure others will love it. The only part I love so far are the Brave/ Merida themed rooms 😂

Okay.

Pass. HARD pass for me. This looks awful.

The grand hall has never clicked for me on any of them. Really, it is the stage itself. I don't like the look of it being there on this class of ships.

It was nice seeing more images of what the Destiny will look like, but the Grand Hall is not clicking with me. I’m sure it will look better in person, so I look forward to finding out!

Hero Minnie is super cute. I'm looking forward to Hercules the Musical and The Lion King dinner show. The Sanctum looks a little bit too much like a fancy yet standard hotel lobby.

Here's a peek at the Grand Hall statue of T’Challa: And a behind-the-scenes look at Spider-Man and his Spider-Bot figures for the stern:

…my god I hope so…

I think it was a reference to Destiny's heroes and villains theme.

For me, Toy story the musical left something to be desired.

“Legendary spaces”…seems like something that should be annointed by the customers
