The Disney Adventure reached Port Canaveral today after crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Germany, moving closer to its March 10, 2026 maiden voyage from Singapore.

More than 250 cast members, along with Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, welcomed the ship to Florida. The vessel will continue to Singapore via the Panama Canal, with stops in Los Angeles and Tokyo.

The Disney Adventure will spend nearly two months traveling to its homeport. The ship departs Port Canaveral shortly and sails through the Panama Canal before stopping in Los Angeles. From there, it crosses the Pacific Ocean to Tokyo and arrives in Singapore in early March.

The ship launches three- and four-night cruises from Singapore as the first Disney Cruise Line ship designed specifically for the Asian market.

Disney Adventure is part of Disney Cruise Line's multi-year expansion plan. The fleet will grow to 13 ships by 2031.

The expansion includes:

  • A fourth Wish-class ship in 2027
  • A new ship class starting in 2029
  • Disney cruise vacations in Japan beginning in 2029, through a partnership with Oriental Land Co., Ltd.

Disney Adventure draws from Disney, Marvel, and Pixar stories spanning more than 100 years. The ship features attractions like Marvel Landing's Groot Galaxy Spin and Ironcycle Test Run, Disney Cruise Line's first roller coaster.

The vessel includes rotational dining restaurants like Navigator's Club, Animator's Palate, and Enchanted Summer Restaurant. Retail locations include World of Disney, a National Geographic Store, and a dedicated Duffy and Friends Shop.

At 208,000 gross tons, Disney Adventure is the largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Nobody said you had to. :) I'm not one of those people who insists that everyone must share my opinion.

Joe Schott, President Disney Signature Experiences, has shared a timelapse video from aboard the Disney Adventure as it completed passage through the Panama Canal: Here's what he had to say: Last night, the Disney Adventure completed passage through one of the world’s most iconic waterways: the Panama Canal. As the largest passenger vessel to ever to transit this route, this moment represents a significant achievement in maritime history. I want to recognize our incredible teams and partners at the Panama Canal whose precision and planning made this possible. Milestones like this remind us that progress in the cruise industry is built on collaboration. We’re so proud of how far the Disney Adventure has already traveled – and even more excited about where she is headed next.

While that definitely looks like we ask Al to take an Oasis class ship and paint it in the colors of DCL, I don't know that I would go as far as calling as an abomination. It doesn't look horrible. Does it look as nice as the other ships, no. But it still looks nice. I took a look at it while I was in Port Canaveral. Icon was there too. While not as good looking as the other Disney cruise ship, the Disney adventure was still the best looking ship in the port that day.

I'm sorry, that is an abomination. It's like the horror movie version of DCL.

Here's some interesting tidbits about the ship, including asking why the longer route through the Panama Canal instead of via the Suez Canal and Red Sea. https://www.cruisehive.com/disneys-biggest-ship-yet-makes-a-florida-debut-with-a-long-journey-ahead/197371

Disney Cruise Line shared photos of the Disney Adventure arriving at Port Canaveral earlier this morning: The Disney Adventure, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise line fleet, arrived at Port Canaveral today, bringing this ship one step closer to its maiden voyage in Singapore on March 10, 2026.

From what I've read, it will continue on to LA via the Panama Canal then Tokyo and finally Singapore with "cruise to nowhere" itineraries beginning early March.
