Disney fans across Asia Pacific now have a major event to look forward to. The Walt Disney Company has announced that D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place in Singapore in 2027 — the first time the event has been hosted there.
The multi-day event will bring fans exclusive first access to Disney's latest storytelling, creative projects, and announcements, with Hollywood stars and creative talent in attendance alongside fans from across the region and beyond.
The fan event has grown into Disney's flagship celebration of its stories and franchises. Previous editions have been held in Anaheim, California, and internationally — including D23 Japan (2011, 2015, 2018) and D23 Brazil in 2024.
Carol Choi, Executive Vice President, Integrated Marketing & APAC Original Strategy at The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, said the event would offer fans "exclusive previews of our APAC Originals for Disney+ and the opportunity to hear directly from the creative talent behind our shows."
Singapore has become a growing hub for Disney's Asia Pacific strategy. Earlier this year, Disney Cruise Line's Disney Adventure launched from Singapore as its home port.
Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company, said the decision to bring D23 to Singapore "reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are."
The Singapore Tourism Board is also backing the event. Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive of the Experience Development Group, called it "the very first time" D23 has come to Southeast Asia and said it "strengthens our partnership" with Disney.
Specific dates, ticket pricing, and the full event schedule have not yet been announced. Disney says more details will follow at a later date.
