How Busy Is Walt Disney World on July 4, 2026? Wait Times Inside

EPCOT Fourth of July 2026
Posted: Saturday July 4, 2026 2:42pm ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

Walt Disney World wait times on July 4, 2026 so far look pretty typical for early summer. The holiday hasn't pushed crowds higher than a normal summer weekend, and it hasn't thinned them out either. Here's how wait times stack up across all four parks from 10am to 1pm.

Park-by-Park Averages

  • EPCOT: 33 min average, 130 min max, 5 min min
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios: 22 min average, 55 min max, 5 min min
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: 21 min average, 85 min max, 5 min min
  • Magic Kingdom: 19 min average, 70 min max, 5 min min

EPCOT has the longest waits of the day so far. Magic Kingdom has the shortest average wait of the four parks.

Longest Waits Right Now

Test Track leads all of Walt Disney World with a 90 minute average wait and a peak of 130 minutes. Here's how the rest of the top waits compare:

  • Test Track: 90 min average
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: 79 min average
  • TRON Lightcycle / Run: 56 min average
  • Avatar Flight of Passage: 54 min average
  • Frozen Ever After: 52 min average
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: 52 min average

Four of the six longest waits are at EPCOT, which lines up with it being a popular park for its July 4 firework show, and its lower ride count.

Shorter Waits Worth Knowing

If you're looking to avoid a line, several attractions are running under 15 minutes right now, including "it's a small world," Kilimanjaro Safaris, Astro Orbiter, and the Tomorrowland PeopleMover. Rides like Swiss Family Treehouse, Star Tours, and Mad Tea Party are sitting at a flat 5 minute wait.

This snapshot covers 10am to 1pm, so waits can shift as the day goes on.

Would make sense. Being a Sunday after a holiday- I would expect that many families (including ours) would be heading home

I was at MK on the 4th. Reported about Epcot being slow (to me) on the 5th.

We didn’t think Epcot was slow on the 4th. We weren’t able to roll any fast passes to Epcot after 11am and the fast pass line for Soarin extended to the standby line at the entrance to the queue where we were there at 2pm. Sure LwtL was 15 minutes but so was spaceship earth at 6:30 pm - and I rarely see that. Not terrible…but not at all slow

After watching the Heartbeat of Freedom tag two days in a row, all it did was make me miss the Peace on Earth tag even more.

Light attendance is not “an incredible weekend” Because learning is challenging for some Because it’s True

Maybe. I could see where you could connect those dots for sure. But we're not talking about Disney being surprised. We're talking about the annual shock and surprise on this website that 4th of July isn't as busy as it used to be. So sure maybe in the walls of team Disney they really thought America's 250th was really put them in high gear. Or it could be by offering the massive fireworks for three nights at at two of their Parks they spread out those high crowds. Either way we were speaking specifically to this website's tendency to be shocked over something that really shouldn't be shocking anymore. 4th of July crowds not being as big as they used to be.

Disney invested big into this weekend - so it seems fair to think that Disney was a bit surprised as well. People should have planned summer trips around this weekend.

Disone4 days ago

Thank you. I was thinking this shouldn't be a surprise anymore as this is now an annual topic. " I can't believe how uncrowded it is"

jrhwdw4 days ago

I've heard that as well.

The past several years, 4th of July has had unusually fewer guests. And every year at this time, people remark how surprised they are about it.
