Dominic in China and Mark Sanchez in Italy have been doing an incredible job creating the atmosphere for parties in those countries for over 10 years. The best New Year’s Eve of my life was a couple years ago spending a good 3 hours non stop dancing pretty wildly with a group of guys and girls I had just met right infront of Mark’s stage in Italy. We gathered quite a crowd ourselves. It helped that some of us knew every track played and the lyrics as well. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in environments of that nature with trance and progressive house tracks but that night may have been the most fun of any similar event I have been to. It’s also nice to see DJ Elliot at the Silent Groove booth, another familiar face at WDW dance parties.

Having done NYE fireworks at MK for the 1st time, I think most of the entertainment comes from trying to keep your group together. Shelled out for the dessert party with garden view. Fantastic decision. Also, circlevision 360 fireworks are cool. Post midnight fireworks rode BTMRR and JC with no wait. There were only 7 on our boat (8 with Skipper) to enjoy the impromptu King Louie overlay.

Were the "countdown" fireworks used this year at MK? I didn't see them in the streamed video.

Happy New Year everyone! If this was indeed the final countdown tag ever, I'm glad I was there to witness it.

It really looked like whatever effects they were holding back from previous Peace On Earth tags, they let them fly in the NYE tag tonight. Goodness.

The TV specials are horrible. Dick Clark with Ryan Seacrest is a bore and Steve Harvey is even worse. I turned off Ryan when a performer started singing about throwing it down from the back.

No mines or Screamers, but the rest of POE tonight was at full level! Thank God! and Thank You Epcot! It's been a very intresting POE Season!!!! Hopefully no bad surprises with 11:40 ROE tonight, Epcot lost if they screw that up!

Just watched (possibly the last ever) POE tag, seemed like it was the loudest it's ever been this season.

I watch them every Friday, and hope they have a safe trip and a good time there tonight. To Josh, Jenna (The ResortTV1 duo) and everyone else who's doing New Year's at Disney World this year...

Firing fireworks off of a scissor lift doesn't seem safe.

I'm sure there will always be a NYE countdown. Also perhaps "Some" kinda of Holiday tag. To much money left on the table if they don't do it.

RiderDec 31, 2018

I mean... MK still has Holiday Wishes and uses Fantasy in the Sky for NYE. It's hard to make any assumptions on the fate of Holiday fireworks at Epcot.

I think the interpretation of that can be made in a couple of different ways. I've attached the times guide above for reference.
