TheTimTracker has some nice coverage on his YouTube channel highlighting the crowds, DJ's and fireworks.

Spend $200K to go to med school and anything is possible;)

Google "Orlando conferences 2018," pick a group, and join them. Note: some of them are pretty specialized, so be sure you qualify for membership...

Agreed. Any idea how we can join a convention group???

9P close... research suggests very few animals seem to appreciate our jubilation over the passage of time, and even fewer can competently wear a party hat.

How was NYE at Disney Springs? That's where I would have been.

durangojimJan 01, 2018

Even better if you can go as part of a conference. We’ve stayed at the YC many times doing that and the discount is like icing on the cake.

There is literally nothing better on NYE than spending it at EPCOT or DHS and then walking back to the hotel. It’s like having a FP for Pandora Times 1000.

I was in explore. It was deadlock for about an hour. But it was a great night.

We will book sometime in February when we can see airfare. We have been lucky to spend about a dozen NYE throughout the years at an Epcot Deluxe.

Better reserve that room today, if it isn't already too late...

Well NYE in Epcot was amazing. Have a couple new glow cubes to brin home lol(the cosmo bowls from France). Having a dinner reservation in Japan was perfect- caught the first show at 630 then checked in for dinner (and got to use relatively uncroweded bathroom). Also discover d that the bathrooms right outside IG are clean and no lines! Left my bag with hubs dashed out and back in no fuss. Missed our early afternoon fastpasses so kept checking for others- managed to snag a FEA FP for 930pm. That ride is NOT worth more than a 3 minutes wait (first time we've been on it). Slept in- the new beds at CSR are amazing! Happy New Years!!

That’s a major bummer. We got lucky I guess because we started walking out with the crowd from over by Mexico right after the fireworks and went straight to the car in the Wonder lot. Actually managed to be out of the parking lot by 12:30 but it did look like it was a tough time getting out of the other parking lots.

It closed at 9:00, so it was not too crowded.
