Disney's Wailulu Bar and Grill at the Polynesian Resort to Begin Taking Reservations in December

Wailulu Bar & Grill will soon move beyond its current walk-up system, as Disney confirms that online reservations open December 3, with the first bookable date on December 4, 2025.

Since opening at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows - Island Tower, Wailulu Bar & Grill has operated as a walk-up only location.

Wailulu Bar & Grill offers a menu built around island flavors and shareable plates.

Starters include:

Ahi Tuna Crisps - marinated tuna with avocado crema, Sriracha-aïoli, and soy glaze - $17
Sweet Potato Hummus - served with crispy chickpeas and breadfruit tostones - $12
Sticky Pork Ribs - topped with pineapple chips and jicama slaw - $15
Garlic Shrimp - with smoked paprika and garlic-lemon butter - $16

Wailulu Bar and Grill Food and Drink

Main dishes:

Short Rib Loco Moco - with shiitake mushroom gravy and fried egg - $33
Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl - sushi-style rice and spicy poke sauce - $26
Wayfinder Burger - two patties with onion jam and volcano sauce - $23
Grilled Fish of the Day - served in green curry broth with jasmine rice - $32

Desserts include:

Tahitian Vanilla Crème Brûlée - $12
Chocolate Cake - with salted caramel ganache and coffee Chantilly - $11
DOLE Whip Sundae - with hibiscus meringue and macerated fruit - $8

There's also a kids' menu featuring teriyaki chicken, grilled whitefish, macaroni and cheese, and cheeseburgers priced from $10.50 to $13.50, each served with sides and a drink.

Well last night with a little rain, the poly was a veritable poo storm with the increased Polyday Inn headcount as guests left the MouseKingdom and SnackCot for a dryer place. Too many bodies, not enough facilities.

Prior to ADRs the restaurant always had availability with walkup with reasonable waits (if any at all). Then magically ADRS made it inaccessible... The place has been opened for months. But just like all ADRs the question is what is held back.

I do think some dining reservation capacity should be reserved for people actually staying at that resort.

And to no one's surprise, reservations are totally booked for the next 60 days. Not sure this move really was beneficial at all. But realistically the dining capacity is not enough for the guest load at Poly like someone else said.

We had a nice lunch here this summer. It was kind of nice having a place you could just show up to without a reservation. I haven't been at night - does it get busier with people looking for a fireworks view?

Good change, the walk-up was always absurdly over leveraged. I assume the bar remains reservationless

I've yet to visit Wailulu but am looking forward to it. I remember hearing initially that there were some issues with parties "camping out" to await fireworks. Has that proven to be an ongoing problem?
