Trail's End Restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness will close in spring 2023 to reopen in late 2023 as a new quick-service eatery.

Trail's End currently operates for limited hours, offering family-style breakfast priced at $22.99 from 7:30am to 12pm, and family-style dinner from 4:30pm to 9:30pm pried at $31.99.

The existing menu offers all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets featuring pecan-smoked brisket, smoked chicken, pulled pork, sausage, roasted potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and green beans.

The new marketplace concept will likely feature a more varied menu at lower price points, with more flexible dining that does not require a reservation.

Disney has not yet provided a closing date for Trail's End, or any details on the new quick-service concept.

Trail's End was one of the later restaurants to reopen from the COVID-19 closure, returning to operation with family-style in place of the previous buffet on July 17 2021.

For some reason when I think of Trail's closing I think of Boyz II Men's "It's so hard to say goodbye."

We used to go to Trail’s End all the time when we stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Loved the buffet and there never seemed to be anyone there. It always felt like the best kept secret at the park.

I arrive 4/16 and was looking for ADR possibilities. The closure of Trail's End made the decision for me. It will be my first and last time dining there.

While Disney has not given a closing date for Trail’s End Restaurant, it appears reservations are no longer being accepted past April 16.

…that will be the new frozen character breakfast 🤪

I'd be all for it. Boma is overpriced and overrated. Jiko is 1000x better.

For a new “low staff marketplace concept”? ….it’s on the radar

Boma is GREAT! I wonder when they are going to shut down that buffet?

prberkFeb 03, 2023

Yes. When it was a buffet, it was delicious and laid back. All of the food without the cost of the character breakfasts.

I want to thank you for letting me write the foreward spot on that "They could sit next to me at the Poly with my Mickey Mouse Shirley Temple and not have to buy a meal, if only the monorails worked and the ferries weren't down for dessert party prep"

That’s gonna be another book i’m gonna write: “Let them eat overpriced (cup)cake(s)! Walt Disney World Customers in the Age of Self Soothing Insanity: 2005-??”

The only people who think it is better are those who really need to have alcohol with their meal, and even they don't think it is that great.
