Thanks!! We will be waiting for the trip report...

LAM378May 25, 2017

This will not surprise me in the least. It will be extra sad because you see so much of CG from the lobby and as you take that hallway leading down to the Yachtsman. Unless, of course, they get rid of that open-air styling, but I can't see why they'd do that.

LAM378May 25, 2017

My trip is sadly over! I don't have any more pictures. I wish I'd taken more! The dining room is up (or down?) a couple stairs off the market. I didn't feel like the ceiling was very low, but the room is indeed enclosed and narrow. I think I counted 20 or so seats. The glass double doors are there, across from the elevator area, but they were always closed, which added to the feeling of smallness.

That is why there are opinions...we all have them...if there was no critical thought we would still be living in caves.

Hope your trip is going well! Any chance you can get a shot of the dining area? My feelings from the pictures was that it had kind of a low ceiling and felt very enclosed.

I would guess the same design team will bring you a similar product to what they are doing with the shop and QS... looks like modern with just a hint of nautical...

LuvtheGoofMay 24, 2017

Only to a few of you. Not all of us are so critical.

BocabearMay 24, 2017

There is usually plenty to complain about even when they are finished...These days anyway

LAM378May 24, 2017

Oh, that makes sense. I was surprised Captain's Grille was still open. They hadn't been taking ADRs for May. I hope this all means we'll see a little more decor in the Marketplace eventually. Even then, it's jarringly different from the lobby. I wish they'd gone for a richer nautical look like the rest of the resort. I really wonder what they have in store for CG.

While still in need of some help several props and design elements have been added to the food court at POFQ since it initially opened. Even Frozen Ever After has seen things added since opening. The banners at the entrance, artwork in the exit hallway, and the fountain at the skating olaf scene for example.

But if we wait until everything is completed, we won't have much to complain about until then. I mean, we have to complain about everything nowadays, don't we, even if it's not finished?

peter11435May 24, 2017

I think they wanted to have it open before Captains grill begins its refurb.

peter11435May 24, 2017

Most projects these days have things unfinished when they first open. This project isn't even fully finished yet as over half the space is still behind construction walls.

BocabearMay 24, 2017

Perhaps you are right...I never really saw them do somethig so pointedly stripped down, and then go back and finish it off... Hoping you are right!!
