The Beak and Barrel Tavern has officially celebrated its August 29 opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom.
Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle shared photos from the event, which included the opening cast and members of Walt Disney Imagineering who brought the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge to life.
In a post to mark the moment, Vahle wrote:
"Ahoy! Three cheers for the opening crew of The Beak and Barrel! We are so proud of the teams who helped create an incredible immersive experience fit for a pirate. Congratulations, and thank you to everyone who had a hand (...or hook) in this fun addition to Adventureland!"
A New Immersive Experience in Adventureland
The Beak and Barrel Tavern is now open to guests, offering a 45-minute immersive pirate hideaway with tropical beverages, small plates, and live entertainment featuring storytelling and sea shanty sing-alongs. The tavern is themed to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and includes richly detailed spaces including The Mess, The Mapmaker's Room, and The Captain's Quarters.
