Disney appears close to rolling out a walk-up list option for Beak and Barrel, the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom.

A "Join Walk-Up List" button now appears on the Beak and Barrel page in My Disney Experience. The feature isn't active yet. Tapping it currently returns an error message: "Unable to Search for Availability Right Now. Please try again later, or make a reservation under 'Check Dining Availability' within the app."

Based on past rollouts of similar features, the walk-up option usually goes live within a few days of appearing in the app. This pattern has held true for other Disney dining locations that received the same treatment before launch.

If the walk-up list activates, you'll have a new way to dine at Beak and Barrel without booking a reservation up to 60 days in advance. This matters for a lounge that has been one of the toughest bookings at Walt Disney World since it opened.

Beak and Barrel reservations sold out almost immediately after launching on August 21, 2025. The original August 14 launch date crashed the entire Disney dining reservation system due to overwhelming demand.

Since then, securing a table has required advance planning, often 60 days out at 6 am when new reservation windows open. A walk-up list would give you another path into the lounge, particularly useful for last-minute additions to your day or if your reservation search comes up empty.

Walk-up lists typically work on a first-come, first-served basis, with wait times that vary based on how busy the location is at the time you join.

About Beak and Barrel

Beak and Barrel opened August 2025, taking over the former Pirates League space and part of the adjacent gift shop in Adventureland. The lounge seats 197 guests across three areas: The Mess, The Mapmaker's Room, and The Captain's Quarters.

The experience runs on a 45-minute time limit per party. The menu includes small plates like Island Provisions ($16) and Cook's Corn Griddle Cakes ($12), along with signature cocktails such as the Salty Seas mARRRgarita ($20) and Lit Fuse ($18.50). Non-alcoholic options include the Cursed Treasure ($7.75) and Treasure Trove ($13.75).

Cast members stay in character throughout the visit, and the space includes short story sequences featuring the animatronic parrot Rummy. Lunch runs 10:00am to 4:25pm, with dinner from 4:30pm to 11:00pm.

We'll continue monitoring the app for updates on when the walk-up list goes live.

Finally tried Beak and Barrell, yesterday. Loved the theme and ambiance. We ordered a couple of the Treasure Trove Ube Lemonade, Corn Griddle Cakes w chipotle braised chicken, Corn Griddle Cakes with corn and poblano pepper, and a Kraken, and a couple of cokes. The Corn Griddle cakes were both great and would love to have them again. We left most of the Treasure Trove sweets on the plate, not our liking, but the Ube Lemonade was and I would buy the drink itself again. The issue I had, was with the Kraken. It is essentially an octopus ceviche. The octopus was cooked okay, not perfectly but okay. The problem I had was that the octopus was severely fishy tasting and the little bits were swimming in lime juice and overpowered with red onion and green pepper, it was difficult to eat, as if they were trying to hide that the octopus was past its date. We actually didn't eat it, and the server didn't say a word about it when he dropped the bill as if he knew it was bad or just didn't care. Has anyone else had that experience with it or was it a one-off situation? We would have said something to the server, but he dropped the food and never came back except to drop the bill and it was so quick. The service was pretty disappointing. I see where others said they had a great experience with the service so I'm hoping we just had a one-off experience with service too. We've also done Oga's and found that to be a one and done experience, nothing special, nothing worth returning for and I really don't want Beak and Barrell to be that way for us. I would like to return but I'm a little hesitant. So I'm wondering if anyone has had issue with the Octopus/Kraken or anything for that matter, so that I can gauge if it is worth trying again. Thanks for the input. I was thinking about starting a new thread about this under dining, should I?

Around here we ask if you want a Coke. And if the answer is "yes," we ask what kind? Because Sprite, Dr. Pepper, etc are all just variations of Coke.

I enjoy sharing stories here, my concern is the CMs themselves getting the recognition. In the app they have a system where I know that will happen, but there’s no way to describe how someone really went above and beyond, or a unique interaction. The compliments are pretty generic and could mean anything from “they were pleasant while ringing up my order” to “they absolutely saved the day”. Wonder if the compliments were too long to read, or if some people were using the form for complaints. Can’t see an obvious reason not to have a comment box.

Was early for a reservation at Skipper Canteen Friday so I asked the Hostess if they had a bar I could sit at since it was hot. She was quick to tell me there were no bars at Magic Kingdom.

Yes, you can request to be seated at a table for both walk ups and for reservations in advance. Just tell the Cast Member when you arrive, and they will let you know when a table opens up. Just be aware depending on the day you may have to wait 20 or more minutes for that table. Worth it, in my opinion. You can also request to be seated in certain areas / rooms or just the bar. Again, be prepared to wait for those specific requests depending on how busy they may be at the time. -

This is not a lounge. This is a revenue-extraction attraction.
