Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios has updated its menu for April 2026, with several new dishes replacing items from the March lineup.

What's New in April

The biggest changes are in the entrees. The Drive-in BBQ Burger (smoked pulled pork, cheddar, barbecue sauce, $27), Fried Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich ($22), Shrimp in Vodka Sauce ($27) are all gone from the March menu.

Taking their place:

  • Grilled Pork Chop - served with creamy cheese polenta, grilled asparagus, and savory peach chutney ($32)
  • Cheese Ravioli - sautéed in brown butter sauce with house-made sausage, squash, roasted mushrooms, and lemon ricotta ($26)
  • Fried Chicken Sandwich - fried chicken thigh tossed in buffalo sauce with house-made pickle ranch sauce and lettuce ($21)

The Feature Film Burger also gets a $1 price increase, moving from $26 to $27.

On the wings, the March menu had a single "Sci-Fi Smoked Wings" option with hot honey buffalo sauce. April splits this into two separate items under the "Silver Screen Wings" name - one with hot honey buffalo sauce and one with parmesan-garlic sauce, both at $16. The description also changes from "house-smoked" to "crispy," and the blue cheese dressing topping is dropped.

The Caramel Brownie Cheesecake and Cookie Shake are both removed from the April menu. Replacing the Caramel Brownie Cheesecake is the Feature Finale - a vanilla sponge roulade with raspberry-vanilla custard, cassis panna cotta, strawberry sauce, fresh fruit, and whipped cream ($10). The Cerulean Moon, Fresh Fruit Salad, and Hot Fudge Sundae all remain.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant accepts both walk-up and advance dining reservations through the My Disney Experience app. View the full Sci-Fi Dine-In menu.

If they are the same research crew that went to NOLA for Tiana, put a Chick-fil-A in there…at least I know the sandwiches are good and the peach shakes are awesome!

The Scifi problem comes to down to TDO and local management, someone there or running that is really clueless. Meanwhile 50s prime time and Brown Derby have stayed on course really well.

Disney certainly seems to have a problem "reading the room" sometimes.

I'm seriously curious if they just didn't care or assembled a group that had no familiarity with drive ins by coincidence. There are plenty in Florida, maybe they should've scrounged up for a research trip. Or Googled.

What a weird menu, doesn't fit the vibe of that place in the slightest. Seems on form for the park with the worst food on property though I guess.

yeah writers stop is still missed. They removed every bit of charm and fun, add in sids at the entrance to that list, and the art of disney gallery, and the toy barn,,candy cauldron...indiana jones store and themed tented jeep cart area,,,the list goes on. The park has been neutered into just a generic few options. It was so much better when it had all these nooks and crannies to discover but no its gotta be walmarted. Some of these have been repurposed etc, some still sit shuttered. And remember when servers wore roller skates at the sci fi?

I love the 50's Prime Time. That is the only sit down place that I really crave going to. Commissary is great for quick service too. This, All day every day, this!! Marie

I miss the writers stop and starring rolls so much :-/

The last time we ate there 2013, I had the Ruben sandwich and a shake which were both above average…and I still say the sugar cookies at the nearby Writers Stop were the BEST cookies on property!…My, how things there have fallen at the studios…the park shouldn’t revolve around Ronto wraps, Cobb salad & grapefruit cake.

Personally, those three new dishes are a significant downgrade to what they are replacing. And the Feature Finale dessert looks seriously underwhelming for $10.

Some early reviews of the new menu are not exactly glowing...

the menu fits about how the lakeshore lodge fits on top of fort wilderness. Management is clueless.

Interesting, but some of these dont fit the theme all that well. I personally like polenta - but is this drive-in style food? When these black and white movies were shown, polenta was only eaten in mostly poor immigrant Italian households (before American menus made it a trendy food). Also, are they really making 'housemade sausage' inside the Sci-Fi somewhere? Make it elevated drive in food - gourmet burgers, quality fried chicken - throw in some salads and bowls even if that streches the theme. Fried pickles and fun apps. Charge us for it fine, but make it fit.

Our upcoming trip back will be the first one in years where we did not include it in our ADR list. The previous time dining there we were underwhelmed by the menu choices and the quality of food we received. Dining there on many occasions in the past, we always looked forward to the meals and enjoyed the unique atmosphere but decided to take a pass this time and dine elsewhere. Too bad.
