Air Canada is now the Official Canadian Airline of Walt Disney World Resort. As part of the new sponsorship deal, the former Refreshment Port at EPCOT will become La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada.
Air Canada released concept art showing the reimagined quick service location. The rendering shows a redesigned building with La Poutinerie signage, a decorative maple tree with fall foliage, a centerpiece featuring Canadian geese in flight, and landscaping with flowers and rocks.
Air Canada provided a brief description of the new location: "A taste of Canada at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada brings a Canadian classic with a twist."
The "classic with a twist" wording suggests you can expect variations on traditional poutine. Refreshment Port previously served poutine alongside other quick service items like chicken strips and mac and cheese.
Air Canada has also announced VIP viewing of EPCOT's Luminous fireworks show for members of its Aeroplan rewards.
Refreshment Port closed on January 12, 2026 for refurbishment. Disney posted a brief update at the time stating only that the location was closed for refurbishment with no other details.
A Notice of Commencement was later filed by Walt Disney Imagineering listing Icarus Exhibits as the contractor. The permit scope indicated install set elements.
The WDI involvement signaled that guest-facing changes were coming, rather than routine kitchen or equipment maintenance. Icarus Exhibits has worked on numerous themed environment projects throughout Walt Disney World over the years.
No operating hours have been listed on Disney's calendar since the closure, and a reopening date has not been announced.
