The ongoing exterior refurbishment at The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom continues this week with the addition of a decorative scrim around the left side of the building. This new installation suggests that the refurbishment project will be ongoing for an extended period.
Despite the construction, The Plaza Restaurant remains open as usual, however, diners should note that views from the dining room are now restricted due to the construction barriers and scrims surrounding the exterior.
It remains unclear how long the refurbishment will last, but the decorative scrim suggests that Disney is maintaining the area’s themed aesthetic while work continues. Guests planning to dine at The Plaza can still make reservations, and the restaurant’s operations are unaffected apart from the obstructed views.
The current refurbishment is the second time in a year that the Plaza has gone under refurbishment, with the major exterior refurbishment that took place in 2024 appearing to be complete in September.
