Morimoto Street Food, the quick service counterpart to Morimoto Asia officially opens May 15, but the restaurant is now in soft opening.

The walk-up window serves sushi, donburi rice bowls and bao tacos, plus snacks: such as takoyaki (octopus, nori, okomiyaki sauce), Morimoto sticky ribs, curry rice croquettes, pork egg rolls and taiyaki (snapper-shaped pancake filled with sweet adzuki red bean paste). Popping boba tea and an assortment of Asian-influenced beers and beverages complete the menu.

Dishes are priced between $6 and $15, with the rice bowls being the most expensive, and the Teriyaki the cheapest.

Seating is available on the lower outdoor patio, complete with views of The Springs.

You can view the full Morimoto Street Food menu, and check back soon for our full review.

The sticky ribs are frickin' amazing here!!

Went here today. Had the cold noodles (tasty), takoyaki (interesting) and taiyaki (fun). They opened 15 minutes late, didn't have green tea made and couldn't get my gift card to work. Still had fun here and would go back. Everything looked really good and fresh in the display. Tables were about half full the entire time I was there. Finished with a Morimoto Soba biru. Very nice.

The new menu definitely interests me :hungry:

Based on the pricing, I assume these are not dining plan snack or quick service credits.

Much needed addition!!

Oh wow there'll be actual takoyaki?? Can't wait. And I'm glad I won't even need to fight for an ADR to get it, since it'll be to go.

The menu and pricing isn't out yet. Are you looking at the one from Dec 2015?

Texas84May 10, 2016

Can't wait to try the takoyaki and taiyaki. Hope those stay on the menu for a while.
