I don’t understand this. Is Ice Cold Hydraulics not technically in Muppet Courtyard? You’d think they’d make it Monsters themed.

↩ replying to bmr1591It’s outside the “gate” and technically more associated with the external street. That said, Monsters is still a decent ways off. There’s no reason this can’t change now and again later.

Is there a diet coke button included with the facility :D

↩ replying to bmr1591Grand Avenue is technically themed to California. So the mural is going for CA beach vibes. The walkway to GE is from Los Angeles.

↩ replying to JohnDEven toy story land is technically in California (Andy lives near San Francisco).
I think Muppets is the only area at DHS that isn't set in California or the Star Wars universe. Even then, mama Melrose is for sure in Holywood, so many the whole courtyard is?

Ever since they introduced the "Grand Avenue" modern Cali set-redressing of this part of SOA I had hoped they'd exaggerate some details like this, a skate shop facade, etc. They almost went too timeless in an area that hosts Baseline. This is fun. It sells it. I know it's a transitional "land" but I dig this.

↩ replying to PurduevianThe Grand Ave. retheme puts it in L.A. Even Pizzerizzo's theming mentions L.A.
P
↩ replying to MisterPenguinI think that puts the whole park either in California or in the star wars universe haha.

↩ replying to PurduevianYes, that's the "Hollywood" in "Hollywood Studios!" ;)
The outward facing 'streets' are all L.A./Hollywood, until you enter a 'land' that isn't, such as SWL. (We'll see if the Villains show gets a California place-setting...)
Anyhoo, remember when they were thinking about renaming DHS? Well, I have clever idea...
Disney's California Adventure!!

Adult “Boo” looking hot. Better cool off with a $6 bottle of coke!

They could have at least given Coke mural lady a wrist. More cost cutting I suppose.
