Gideon's Bakehouse has posted on Instagram that it will share big news this Friday, presumably about its new Disney Springs location at Walt Disney World.
The post includes a short message: "We're dropping some big info this Friday, so meet me back here in a couple of days. I'm excited to tell you something."
The announcement is expected to provide details about the new store location currently under construction at Disney Springs.
What We Know So Far
Window graphics went up in December 2024 at the former Art of Shaving storefront, a few doors down from the current Gideon's Bakehouse. The graphics feature red artwork with raven imagery and text reading "Pardon Our Appearance. Something New Is Coming Soon."
A Notice of Commencement filed last month listed The First Raven LLC as the client for a "New Tenant Build-Out of Lease Space in Disney Springs." Public records show Steve Lewis, founder of Gideon's Bakehouse, leads the company.
Unanswered Questions
It remains unclear how the new space will operate. The location could serve as an extension of the existing Gideon's Bakehouse or as a separate concept from the same team. We believe it is the later, with a new category of quick service food on offer.
About Gideon's Bakehouse
Gideon's started in late 2016 at Orlando's East End Market with one employee and an $800 budget. The bakery became known for nearly half-pound cookies made in small batches, with lines regularly exceeding an hour as guests waited for limited flavors.
The Disney Springs location opened in December 2020 and has remained one of the busiest food destinations at the shopping and dining district.
