The Garden View Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been completely redesigned ahead of its March 19 reopening for the afternoon tea service.
The transformed space replaces the lounge's traditional red color scheme with a lighter, botanical-inspired design featuring green and white tones.
Out with the Red, In with the Green
The former Garden View Lounge featured deep red upholstery, burgundy chairs, and rich crimson accents throughout the dining area. The darker color palette created a more formal atmosphere.
The redesigned space now features white chairs with botanical leaf patterns etched into the chair backs. Green upholstered seating replaces the red furniture, and the overall aesthetic is lighter and more open.
Gold accents remain throughout the space, including updated chandeliers and table bases that complement the new color scheme.
New Seating and Layout
The lounge now includes round white tables with gold bases positioned throughout the main dining area. White chairs feature sage green cushions and decorative leaf patterns that tie into the Alice in Wonderland theme launching with the tea service.
Arched windows and architectural details remain from the original design, but the space feels brighter with the updated furnishings.
The floral carpet pattern stays consistent with the Grand Floridian's Victorian aesthetic while complementing the new green and white palette.
Reservations Open February 19
The Garden View Lounge Tea Experience opens March 19 with reservations available starting February 19. Pricing is $79 per adult and $49 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity.
The afternoon tea service includes Twinings tea selections, a three-tier tower of sweet and savory items, and optional cocktails and champagne. See the full menu.
