Disney's Pop Century Resort is getting a fresh update with the addition of a new coffee shop. As part of ongoing enhancements across Disney's Value Resorts, this new spot will offer specialty beverages, giving guests a convenient place to grab their caffeine fix throughout the day.

Recent Updates Across Disney's Value Resorts

Several Disney Value Resorts have recently undergone upgrades, with refreshed dining spaces, and updated theming.

All-Star Resorts: Each of the All-Star Resorts now features brand-new character murals. Goofy hypes up the crowd at All-Star Sports, Mickey conducts a grand orchestra at All-Star Music, and Donald takes center stage at All-Star Movies.

World Premiere Food Court (All-Star Movies): This dining location has been reimagined with a refreshed look that stays true to its classic movie theater theming. Guests can find new parody movie posters featuring Mickey and friends, film strip-inspired tiling, and a more comfortable, Hollywood-inspired atmosphere.

Sports Goofy Gifts & Sundries (All-Star Sports): This gift shop now features a bright new look, including hardwood flooring designed to feel like stepping onto a sports court. Goofy himself appears in playful graphics throughout the store, showing off his best moves in various sports.

A Fresh Look at Everything POP

At Pop Century Resort, Everything POP Shopping & Dining has received its own refresh. The redesign brings in a bold color scheme and new seating areas.

According to Disney Imagineering, the updates were inspired by Pop Century's larger-than-life exterior. "Taking point from the over-the-top and colorful outdoor elements, we worked on making the inside of the resort as fun as the outside!" one Imagineer shared.

A New Coffee Shop Joins the Lineup

Along with the refreshed look, Pop Century is also getting a brand-new coffee shop. While Disney has not yet shared specific details about the location or menu, the new offering is expected to serve specialty beverages similar to those found at other Disney resorts.

Anyone have a guess on opening timeline?

I’m not saying I’m too good to stand in line. I was offering up what I think would be a great idea. A great use of technology. A few years ago, I might have stated that I thought criss crossing every park to obtain a paper fastpass was inconvenient when technology could easily be implemented to obtain a fastpass on your phone. Now I’m saying the technology could make it easier for me to get a cup of coffee (or anything grab and go really) It’s a forum where we share what we like, dislike, encounter and see at Disney - or did I miss something?

I'm remarking on the fact you think you're too special to stand in line (behind other people!! 😱) or have to wait to pay for your cup of coffee. If it is that much of an issue for you, make coffee in your room with the provided coffemaker.

Genuinely confused? Are you horrified by waiting in line? That post was in response to someone whose proposed solution - I felt - would not be a time savings. Or are you trying to mock me and let me know that I’m not allowed to post an opinion about something I’d like to see implemented in a coffee shop at a Disney resort to save time?

Or just buy a refillable mug, and then you can get tea and soda as well.

You could always buy X amount of cups for your stay and then just bring one each morning

The horror!!!!

I have tried this - I don’t find that it saves much time. I still have to wait at the window until someone pulls my ticket and puts out my cup. It’s not a huge wait (for mobile order or at the food court). I’d say I wait an average of 5-10 minutes depending on how early I arrive and depending on the resort. Just stating that I think it would be nice. Whether or not it’s practical or profitable for Disney is another story entirely.

Use mobile order; every resort except Coronado has it.

So half way there! If the food court is properly staffed there really isn’t much of a wait usually, if any. Outside of the parks, Joffrey’s stands don’t usually have much of a wait either.

You have to wait in line behind everyone buying food to get your cup (and pay). Then you can self serve your coffee

Does this mean pop is going to get even more expensive?

Isn’t that what they offer at the food court?

The best coffee shop would be one in which I can go in, grab a cup, self serve myself coffee (and pour in a little milk or creamer) and walk right out - with my armband or my phone or something automatically charging me for the coffee as I exit. Let everyone else stand in line for an iced mocha frappe whatever. Or wait in line in the food court for their waffles, to check out, and so on. But don’t make me wait in line behind them for something I could accomplish in 3 minutes (Grab a cup, pour my coffee and go) I tap my credit card and walk into several stores - being charged as I walk out for what I’m carrying. We know Disney already has RFID cups. I wish they would use all of that tech to help the tired ‘I need my coffee now’ folks like me! 😁
