Citricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort will be undergoing refurbishments through to the summer of 2020.

The work will be carried out in phases, with the restaurant remaining open throughout, although there will be some impacts.

In February , the bar will be closed, and the menu at the restaurant will be modified to accommodate changes being made to the kitchen.

Beginning in May, sections of the dining room will be closed for renovations.

The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2020.

The lack of penguins is unforgivable.

50 bucks for short ribs. That’s a hell of a margin.

His comment aged incredibly well or poorly, depending on your point of view.

How did you know? Mary Poppins.

Looks beautiful! Very subtle and tasteful integration of Mary Poppins, judging from those pictures.

Excited for this refurb, ate there last week and the food was great....but the decor is so outdated!

and of course if they do it well then you may never know they are doing refurbishment. Blend the temporary construction walls in by using the right paint etc and blocking off rooms and you may never know if somewhere is operating at half capacity.

I've never been in a place that was doing refurbishment but I don't eat in many hotel restaurants outside of Disney and Vegas..

Thanks. I changed my reservation to the new restaurant in Epcot's Japan. I was actually surprised at the number of restaurants that had availability at 6pm on a Friday less than a month out.

Well, we have an APR 2020 Reservation. Canceling & going elsewhere. Just not eager to dine at a "Signature Construction Zone".

It's exceedingly rare for an upscale restaurant to stay open during extensive renovations. Maybe the Starbucks in the Courtyard by Marriott can do it, but that isn't remotely the same.

There are more restaurants at that hotel than I thought/expected! Saying "not done anywhere" is a stretch, I've been in other hotels where half the breakfast room is closed off for refurbishment while they are still serving breakfast in the other half. Its rare to continue operating but not unheard of.
