The Beach Club Marketplace will be closing for a refurbishment this weekend to begin a series of improvements to the Beach Club Resort quick service location.

Upgrades will include mobile order food service and a new layout - featuring a new beverage island.

During the refurbishment, which begins August 23, grab and go food will be a available at a temporary location in the Solarium at the Beach Club. Resort refillable mugs will be able to be refilled at Hurricane Hanna’s at the Beach Club and The Market at Ale & Compass at the Yacht Club.

The Beach Club Marketplace is expected to reopen in later September 2020.

It got new flooring and paint, but the rest looks pretty much the same, maybe a little rearranging in the food grab and go area.

Anything change?

Yes, it did. It's just as nice as before. I also like to walk over to Yacht Club's side.

Did this reopen?

Thank you for posting this! Hoping Disney magic kicks in and they get this done before our trip!

Photo update as of Thursday, August 27, 2020. Despite the "exit" sign at this door, the Beach Club resort Marketplace is closed. Here are a few photos of the temporary Marketplace at the Solarium, offering cold and hot sandwiches and other items. The entrance hallway to the Solarium.

That sounds like a huge bonus to me. The Freestyle machines are the worst. I understand why people like them if they want a bunch of added flavors, but if you just want a regular Coke, you're out of luck. I've never once had a Coke out of a Freestyle machine that actually tasted remotely similar to how Coke typically tastes (and I've probably tried at 25-30 different locations if not more); I just skip getting a drink now if the place has Freestyle machines. I suppose I should thank Coca-Cola for their terrible invention, though, because it really helped me stop drinking soda.

I wonder if they’ll be able to fit the coffee sales into the beach club marketplace now instead of needing that wedding-bar looking setup in the next room every morning.

What about the chiller cabinets and grocery items for the DVC villas? I’m hoping those will also be moved, so that guests can still get stuff like bread, milk and so on.

Is the YC market open?

Notes from NeverlandAug 20, 2020

Happy to see this. The layout has always presented some congestion and confusion, so hopefully that's addressed.

I think they needed to do something here. The offering at the market at YC is far superior to that at the Beach Club, even if its environment is a little more sterile. I’m looking forward to the changes!
