The upper-level balcony at the Main Street U.S.A. Railroad Station is now fully open to guests, following a lengthy refurbishment project at Magic Kingdom.

As of last evening, nearly all construction scrims and temporary walls have been removed from the station. All sets of stairs are now accessible, allowing guests to once again enjoy the full wraparound balcony that overlooks Town Square and Main Street U.S.A.

During the refurbishment, crews completed several updates, including refreshed paintwork and the installation of brand-new flooring across the upper level. The project was carried out in phases, with sections of the balcony reopening gradually over the past several weeks.

VIP Tours. And in more recent months the balcony is also closed for fireworks viewing in my experience.

Anybody but common peasants like you and me apparently! Haha. I mentioned how they rope off the entrance to the station with no signage that the train station itself is still open and how to access it. I witnessed a family trying to get on the train who went up the exit ramp, who were scolded by a CM - the same CM who could have simply opened the gate and let them on the train - it was still boarding and there was plenty of room.

I know it was opening night of starlight but they had almost all entrances to the station blocked off while the train was still operating. No signage on how to get to the station. A poor family went up the exit ramp and they were scolded by a CM who could have easily let them on the train. There was plenty of room and it was still boarding.

The benches are gone. Maybe that's temporary. But, I've witnessed people camping them two hours before fireworks so they can have a seat for the show.
