Refurbishment work at the Main Street U.S.A. Railroad Station in Magic Kingdom appears to be approaching completion. While the right side and center section of the station (as viewed from Main Street) remain closed to guests, progress in those areas looks nearly finished.
Most of the scrims that previously blocked views of the building have now been removed, revealing the updated exterior and concrete work. Only a few barriers remain in place as crews complete the final phases of the project.
The left side of the upper platform reopened to guests earlier this month following the completion of flooring work, and the rest of the station may not be far behind. While Disney has not made an official announcement, the timing suggests the refurbishment could wrap up in time for the debut of the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade on July 20.
The train station remains open during the refurbishment, and the Walt Disney World Railroad continues normal operations in shuttle mode to Storybook Circus.
