Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will close Tuesday, January 27 through Thursday, January 29 2026 as cold temperatures move through Central Florida.
The closure marks the fourth cold weather shutdown for Typhoon Lagoon in January. Typhoon Lagoon is currently planned to reopened on Friday January 30.
Temperature Forecast
The next three days will see temperatures fall below comfortable levels for water park operations:
- Lows in the mid-30s
- Highs in the low 60s
These temperatures are similar to previous cold snaps that forced earlier closures this month.
January Closure Pattern
Typhoon Lagoon has faced repeated closures in January 2026:
- January 12-16: Closed for cold weather (5 days)
- January 17: Open
- January 18-20: Closed for cold weather (3 days)
- January 21: Open
- January 22: Closed (1 day)
- January 23-26: Open
- January 27-29: Closed for cold weather (3 days)
Blizzard Beach remains closed for its annual refurbishment. No Disney water parks will be available during the January 27-29 closure period.
