Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Closed Thursday After Brief Wednesday Opening

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park is closed today, Thursday, January 22, after opening for just one day on Wednesday following another extended cold weather closure.

The water park is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, Friday, January 23 from 10am to 5pm.

Today's forecast shows a low of 53°F and a high of 76°F, with partly cloudy skies.

Recent Closure History

Typhoon Lagoon has experienced multiple closures in January:

  • January 12-16: Closed for cold weather (5 days)
  • January 17: Open
  • January 18-20: Closed for cold weather (3 days)
  • January 21: Open
  • January 22: Closed

The water park has operated just two days in the past two weeks.

Blizzard Beach remains closed for its annual refurbishment, leaving no Disney water parks currently available.

According to updated park hours, Typhoon Lagoon will be open on Wednesday, February 4, and then temporarily close again on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6.

Typhoon Lagoon appears to be closed on February 3rd. The Park currently has Operation Hours on February 4th.

In a new update, Disney says Typhoon Lagoon will be open this Friday, January 30, and then temporarily close again January 31 through February 2 due to forecasted low temperatures.

This will likely be expanded into February. Sunday and Monday Morning we are looking at the morning temperatures in the Mid-20s. As of this moment, we aren't looking at temps to go above 70F until the 7th.
