Disney is offering an adults-only escape at Typhoon Lagoon during the busy holiday week.

From December 26 to December 31 2018, Adult Cove will offer food and beverage service at Hammerhead Fred's Bar, live music and TVs. Guests will need to be 18 or older to enter the area.

A hole new world.

Adult Cove sounds like a rude video store, not a theme park land.

Is there a service available for me to pick up a kid to enjoy the park with?

I totally get and support this sentiment. I can't imagine what upcharge I would pay for 2-3 hours adults-only child-free at any theme park. They'd make a MINT. But during holiday week? When most everyone is taking their kids (because they r off from school)? Maybe it's because of that?

A lot of adults with no children go to WDW to relax and have fun, same as families. Let me have a corner of TL where I can drink eight rum runners and get sunburned in peace. You wouldn't want the children to see that anyways.

Have you seen some of the people that go to WDW? :arghh:

My first time there years and years ago there were women walking around in thongs, surprised me I had to remind myself I was at Disney.

Well if go during the South American tourist season it gets pretty close.

I did not know there was a need. I escape to Typhoon Lagoon because there are no strollers, lines, FastPasses, or other reservations. It's freeing, it's fun, it's great. And that is all over the water park.

I don't really see the point. I was kept out of a lot of Pleasure Island as a kid, and as an adult I guess I expected there to be more nudity or something.

I can't wait to see Disney's take on a nude beach

We have 2 little girls and I’m all for catering to kids and family fun BUT I totally support kid free areas in each park. Even just a small section of a restaurant would be awesome. I love my children dearly but everyone needs a break every now and then.

Sounds like a trial balloon to see how well received/attended something like this would be, for future consideration. Not sure about the timing, though, that seems a little strange to me.
