Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park will open Saturday, January 17, but will close again from Sunday, January 18 through Tuesday, January 20 due to forecasted low temperatures.
The water park will operate Saturday from 10am to 5pm before shutting down for the second cold weather closure in a week.
This is the second extended cold weather closure for Typhoon Lagoon in early 2026. The water park was previously closed January 12-16 due to similar low temperatures.
Saturday's forecast shows a high of 69°F and low of 42°F, making it just about warm enough for water park operations.
Temperatures drop significantly starting Sunday:
- Sunday through Tuesday: Lows in the low to mid-30s
- Highs reaching only the upper 50s
- Monday's low forecast at 33°F
Blizzard Beach remains closed for its annual refurbishment, leaving no Disney water parks available during the three-day closure.
