Walt Disney World has extended the closure of Typhoon Lagoon water park through Friday, January 16, 2026 due to continued cold temperatures in the forecast.
The water park was originally scheduled to close for three days (Monday through Wednesday) but will now remain closed for five days total. Typhoon Lagoon is currently planned tol reopen Saturday, January 17 from 10am to 5pm.
The extended closure comes as Central Florida faces cooler temperatures through the week:
- Monday: Low 49°F, High 71°F
- Tuesday: Low 54°F, High 72°F
- Wednesday: Low 54°F, High 66°F
- Thursday: Low 42°F, High 60°F
- Friday: Low 35°F, High 57°F
Friday's forecast shows the coldest temperatures of the week, with lows dipping into the mid-30s.
Blizzard Beach remains closed for its annual refurbishment. This means no Disney water parks will be available through Friday, January 16.
