Demolition efforts continue in Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom, with more progress made over the last couple of days.
Two of the large roadside billboards that once stood at the back Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama have now been demolished, reducing them to rubble on the ground.
The massive Dino-Rama billboards, which once welcomed guests with their roadside carnival-style theming, have been taken down, leaving behind piles of debris. Several large dumpsters have been brought on-site for the removal of the rubble.
Dinosaur Structure Still Standing—For Now
While much of Dino-Rama has already been dismantled, the large dinosaur structure—a well-known landmark in the area—remains in place. However, with demolition progressing rapidly, it is likely that this structure will be removed in the coming days as part of the final stages of clearing Dino-Rama.
The Road to Tropical Americas
This latest progress keeps the Tropical Americas expansion on track, with construction set to ramp up following the complete removal of Dino-Rama. The new land will include:
- A first-ever Encanto-themed attraction where guests can step inside the Madrigal family's casita and experience Antonio's connection to animals.
- A new Indiana Jones attraction, replacing DINOSAUR after its closure in early 2026.
Stay tuned for more updates as Disney continues its work on this new addition to Animal Kingdom, expected to open in 2027.
