Disney has today updated operating hours and released FastPass+ availability for the upcoming Toy Story Land. We've put together a quick guide to everything you need to know about how to experience the land when it opens June 30 2018.

FastPass+ at Toy Story Land

FastPass+ is now available for those guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and are within the 60 day prior to check-in window. For example, if you have a 14 day stay arriving on June 16, you would be eligible to make a FastPass+ for Toy Story Land on June 30.

All three attractions in Toy Story Land will be included in FastPass+, including Slinky Dog Dash coaster, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania.

FastPass+ tiering at Disney's Hollywood Studios is being adjusted, with all three Toy Story Land attractions in Tier 1, and all other FP+ attractions (such as Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster) in Tier 2. You can select one Tier 1 attraction, and two Tier 2 attractions. This means that you can only FP+ one Toy Story Land attraction.

Extra Magic Hours at Toy Story Land

Morning Extra Magic Hours for Walt Disney World Resort guests will be held everyday from July 1 to August 31 2018, 7am to 8am.

Evening Extra Magic Hours will be held on Fridays during July and August, from 10:30pm to 12:30am.

EMH will include all of Toy Story Land and other attractions throughout the park.

Park Hours during Toy Story Land opening

Operating hours on opening day June 30 2018 are currently 8am to 11pm, moving to 8am to 10:30pm throughout July and until August 25 2018. In addition, EMH will be offered (see above).

View the full operating hours along with EMH on our unofficial calendar.

Height Requirements at Toy Story Land

Slinky Dog Dash, the family-friendly roller coaster, will have a 38” height requirement, and Alien Swirling Saucers will have a 32" height requirement.

A few more flat rides in TSL would be nice, but the lack of a play area is such a glaring missed opportunity. A land filled with oversized toys, but kids can’t even interact with them. A land themed to a backyard, yet you are confined to a single straight-line path and have nowhere to run around. It’s interesting that Universal (“the teen park”) does such a better job than Disney at building immersive playgrounds for little kids.

Last I checked, an Emperor outranks a King. :p

“Are penguins endangered? Because I will send all of my armies of Knocknasheega Little People to make them so if Disney so much as touches the OG Tower of Terror, especially that fiend who deigns to call himself MISTER.” - King Brian of Knocknasheega, directly stated to imagineer97

Tower of Terror to Doctor Strange. Almost no changes except the story from Twilight Zone ghosts to being trapped in the Astral Plane. RnRC to Incredicoaster. Theater of the Stars to GotG Awesome Mix Tape. Add in a Baymax ride using FoP tech, and a Super Kitties Disney Jr. flat ride. In TSL, continuing past the new restaurant, raze the back of house and add in more TSL rides: RC Racers, Army Men parachute drop tower, Critter Carousel, etc...

What a beautiful photo. Nothing like the parks at night, you really dont even have to do anything just look around and enjoy. I think tomorrowland is a hodgepodge of stuff and doesnt look great in the daytime, but at night especially from above either people mover or astro orbitor is STUNNING.

Didn't Universal kind of do that in Islands Of Adventure?

If we are imagineering, I always thought they could make a decent super hero city area with different minilands like Fantasyland. Make it a city like environment and have areas dedicated to the Incredibles, Big Hero six, Guardians, Dr. Strange, possibly additions could be Wakanda and Buzz Lightyear (from the tv show). Obviously people would ask where Iron man was... but it could still make a good land.

PhicinfanFeb 12, 2024

Well they couldn't call it Marvel land nor had all the major characters.... so no don't think that would have worked

imagineer97Feb 11, 2024

Well, I do...I just coined a new nickname for the defunct ride.

_calebFeb 11, 2024

We don’t call it “Cali.”

BasiltheBatLordFeb 10, 2024

They should’ve done a Marvel land (with the characters they can use in FL) instead of TSL. TSL is one of the most out of place lands in any park at WDW.

TSL was supposed to have more, but it went under the knife during construction...maybe it would have been a better addition...I know if Alien Swirling Saucers had been built indoors with a true Outer Space setting and included an attached Pizza Planet overlooking the ride, it would have been So-o much better...add a few of the flat rides they have designed for other TSL incarnations around the world and it just might be an engaging land...
