Walt Disney World has announced early closures for Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, with the attraction closing at 6:00 pm on several dates in January and February 2025.

The affected dates are all weekdays and include January 22, 24, 27-30, and February 3, 5-6. On weekends, the attraction is scheduled to operate for the full Magic Kingdom park hours (typically 10 pm or 11 pm).

While Disney hasn't provided an official reason for these early closures, they may be related to maintenance needs. Unlike its predecessor, Splash Mountain, which traditionally underwent annual refurbishment in January, Tiana's Bayou Adventure has not yet had a scheduled maintenance period since its opening in Summer 2024.

The early closures could be Disney's solution to address ongoing operational challenges and perform essential maintenance work. The attraction has experienced intermittent downtime issues since its debut, and these reduced operating hours may help resolve these technical problems.

Iger wouldn’t swoop in with a hose….. With his personal traveling shower head maybe😉

So how long until Iger swoops in with a hose and washes it off?

Broken animatronics yes (this is normal and expected in todays Disney), but they keep running guests through it. I will thinking of breakdowns that stop the attraction from running guests through it.

Most reliability issues are animatronic issues, not the ride itself.

The Disneyland version has been broken for 2 months and they haven’t even tried to fix it.

I just threw a number out there. I think you are right Tiana being not as popular as the previous attraction, I think the stand by would probably be (a total guess) max of 60 minutes.

There’s no evidence this line would reach a 90 minute standby.

I think it’s because it doesn’t operate reliably enough to support a standby. With VQ, when it breaks down, your boarding group is not called. Yes it does break down when boarding groups and LLs are loading too, but think of the nightmare when it breaks down with a 90 min standby full of people.

Why does this ride have a VQ still? The one in Disneyland doesn't even have one lol
