Magic of Disney Animation Operating Hours Released - Opening Weeks Run to Park Close, Then Hours Shorten
Operating hours for The Magic of Disney Animation are set. It runs park close during opening weeks, then shifts to 10am–6pm from September 28 — missing the first and last hours of the park day.

Operating hours for The Magic of Disney Animation have been posted ahead of the September 14 opening at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Opening Week Hours

For the first two weeks following opening, the attraction's hours broadly match park operating hours — a sign Disney is expecting strong demand in the early days.

  • September 14–17 and September 20–27: 9am–9pm
  • September 18–19: 8:30am–9pm

The slightly earlier start on September 18 and 19 reflects the park's own earlier opening on those dates.

Hours Shorten from September 28

From September 28 onwards — as far as the calendar currently shows — The Magic of Disney Animation shifts to significantly reduced hours: 10am–6pm.

This is a notable change from the opening period. The park itself continues to open at 9am with Early Entry from 8:30am on most days, meaning the attraction won't be accessible for the first hour of the park day. It also closes well before park close, so guests planning to visit later in the evening will need to factor that in.

This pattern is common for walk-through and show-based experiences at Walt Disney World, which often operate on shorter windows than the park itself once the initial opening period settles down.

The Magic of Disney Animation opens September 14. The building houses Olaf Draws!, Off the Page! character meets, Once Upon A Studio Theater, Drawn to Wonderland, and an enchanted art gallery.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone have a side by side with Launch Bay? Just curious to see what was vs now.
Firstly, I am happy they brought back this attraction!

But Disney has tons of real things they could have exhibited. I wish they exhibited real things. The fake stuff is silly to me.

So you want real Animation and no fake Animation in the Animation building. Ok.

They do in other areas of the experience, but not in the Treasures Untold gallery.

I wish they exhibited real things in the showcases. Disney has plenty to show and they can rotate the stuff too.

That seems to be what Walt Disney Presents currently does

I agree. I am very happy they brought back this attraction and I am sure a lot of folks like the fake exhibits and I get what they are doing, I just would have rather have seen real stuff that's all.
I don’t think it’s weird to expect some genuine museum displays and exhibits in a space like this.

But I also have to be thankful they created an indoor space for kids at this park - it was very much needed.
Overall I think they did a nice job. A little underwhelmed by what I’ve seen from the Alice playground though. That had a lot of potential.

It is aimed at quite a younger age range than I thought, pretty much just toddler/pre-school age

Up to 5 years old according to Disney.

Yeah there are just certain concepts or IP that my imagination can go wild and leave me underwhelmed.

Yeah…. I think that’s what took me by surprise too.

I was expecting more of a mix for all ages.

Thanks, managed to find the age sign in a vlog. One half is for 6 months to 23 months and the other is 2 to 5 years old (missed the second sign so thought it was on;y up to 23 months at first)
