'Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!' Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios This Summer

A new family show is on the way to Walt Disney World as part of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios area at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

"Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!" will debut this summer, bringing an energetic, music-filled experience built around the Disney Jr. series.

The show features upbeat songs and plenty of audience participation as Mickey and Minnie head out on a road trip to gather their pals - Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto - for a big celebration. The format is fast-paced and interactive, with characters and music designed to keep young guests engaged throughout the performance.

Guests visiting Disneyland may recognize the show from its run at Disney California Adventure, where it quickly became a favorite for families with young children. Now, Walt Disney World guests will have the chance to join in the fun as part of the resort's new animation-focused offerings.

"Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!" will open inside the refreshed Walt Disney Studios area, which is replacing the former Animation Courtyard. The land will also include The Magic of Disney Animation and new play and character experiences coming later in summer 2026.

That was, to be fair, before modern costume design caused everyone and their grandma to become familiar with exactly 1 style of Mickey! And thankfully so. These things are just nightmare fuel... Don't look up what they did with Pluto. You may never sleep again.

Seems to me like this project uses (at least) some of the unused Play!P ideas and concepts. Inside themed character meet and greets, characters coming to life, and play areas. I'm sure there will be a similar TTwC idea as well. This may have been discussed already but I got lost in the Star Wars talk.

I read up on this profusely (especially WSJ when it was a vastly better publication than today) around the time (before & after) the "Mickey Mouse Protection Act" (1998) was being passed. Although every passing year (in perpetuity) more individual Disney films, etc. will become "public domain," Disney owns the trademarks forever, and no one else can make a Mickey, etc. if people can easily be led to believe it was made by Disney. Hence all the horror films with Mickey, Pooh, etc. That's safe. However, I remember also reading that this was with the expectation Disney consistently "uses" their Trademark (if you don't use it, you can lose it!) For example, it was not long after the legislation passed I noticed Mickey a lot more often on TV: Mouse Works, House of Mouse, Clubhouse, Racers, Paul Rudish,, etc. Whereas not long before Disney didn't even show him in a 1993 Bonkers episode about Mickey. Arguably from one extreme to the next. Nevermind all the other Mickey offerings "through the 'ears" (sorry couldn't resist!),. Today is a far cry from when Mickey was mostly found either in a parade or if you were in the right place/right time for a "meet & greet" (especially between when MMR closed in 1980, and 1988 when Birthdayland opened). If anyone "pushes back" on this (or if I get time) I'll try to re-pull my sources.
