What the hell happened to her tail? No shiny scales just a what appears to be a big flannel wrap that someone pulled out of a thrift store garbage bin. The appear to have spent lots of money on other things but ignored the tail... I've seen countless high school productions of The Little Mermaid that managed to be better than this.

Perhaps the costume can vary with the person wearing it? Two females can wear the exact same top and one will be more "modest" than the other.

The tail is so bad. Who approves this stuff

This looks fantastic! A brilliant modern upgrade.

The rest of the show is good though. Even fantastic - as I noted elsewhere in this thread it's clear somebody at DLE loved this show enough to give it a proper upgrade. BATB next please?

And now I want one of those Flounder puppets to have as a movie watching buddy.

I like it, but the CGI Triton looks terrible.

I can't tell if he's got a different VA than the movie as I haven't seen it in years (which is what was throwing me off a little more than the look), but upon a rewatch and close look he does look a bit rough.
