Disney has published the operating hours for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, the reimagined stage show debuting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

According to the official Walt Disney World website, the show will operate from 9:15 AM to 7:15 PM on opening day. While specific showtimes are not listed, the listed hours suggest that the production will run on a continual loading basis, allowing guests to enter the theater for shows scheduled regularly throughout the day rather than at fixed times.

This operational format would differ from traditional stage shows with limited daily performances and instead align more closely with past offerings in the same theater, such as Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which used a rolling show schedule to manage guest flow.

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is a fully reimagined production featuring updated set design, modern effects, and musical numbers inspired by the original animated film, including Part of Your World, Kiss the Girl, and Poor Unfortunate Souls. It replaces Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which closed in 2020.

Probably not a surprise, but Disney has added a Lightning Lane icon in the My Disney Experience app for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure: News on operating hours: https://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/the-little-mermaid---a-musical-adventure/news/09may2025-the-little-mermaid---a-musical-adventure-gets-official-operating-hours-ahead-of-opening-day-at-hollywood-studios.htm

I mean at the end the day does it really matter ? Why certain posters keep insisting on arguing that particular point perplexes me. MV30 is closing regardless of whether or not we agree with the decision. SGE definitely had a lot of budget cuts despite its grandness which sucked a lot of life out of the land.

2 < 3 Disney “bending over to pick up pennies as dollars fly overhead” isn’t something new. Dockside Diner, located in the middle of the park, regularly closes at 5:00 PM, completely missing dinner and even the nighttime shows in front of the Chinese Theater. They also regularly close the popcorn cart closest to the theater early. You really buy they could sell enough to people in the park and waiting to see the nighttime shows? That they need to close? It’s not hard to find such as examples. I have repeatedly defended, with detailed explanations, the timeline of several projects, including the original timeline of TRON. But sure, we will just go with “reasons” to explain this situation.

Remind me how opening two new stage shows while closing a 3D movie saves money. The villain show costs much more to put on. It costs much more than the Cars show, too. While I will miss MV3D, we don’t need to act like Wall Street cares about the pennies saved here while hundreds of millions of dollars are spent in DAK and DHS. If we want to complain about cheapness for no reason, there’s always SGE.

Isn't the store right in the middle of the area that will be Monstropolus though? With the Coaster to the back and Mama Melrose becoming Harryhausen's?...Like it should be demolished first to have the spae open and accessible as they move forward... I just wish they would have thought about the entire park layout and grouped lands and attractions by Studio and type... Animation to the roght of Hollywood Boulevard, Live Action to the left... A Muppet Studios area, A quadrant for Pixar, A Quadrant for Classic Disney Animation and Toons...Lucas at the back At leas then it would feel less like a completely random grab bag.... But what is done is done... They REALLY need to demo and clear the old film production offices and studio infrastructure buildings and move Park Operations out to the Galactic StarCruiser campus outside of the footprint of the park... That would give plenty of room for some meaningful growth...

You’re truly insufferable and wrong. They are closing it because it’s going to be a construction zone.

The store isn’t in the way of work in the parking lot. Why do they not need to keep it open any longer? Because they’re replacing the immediate loss of capacity with the new shows!

Did they? Probably not but another great way to say money to please those shareholders

Exactly. Why delay the inevitable ??? No reason to keep the area open any longer than it needs to be.

But the question is do they need to tear that store down first? Beyond the question of if they could keep MV3D going and detour around the store. The largest part of the project is going to be the coaster (which is well beyond the courtyard) and building up the background, so did they really need to close MV3D first?

Didnt they just pay for new seats ;) lol. Those are definitely staying hahaha
