A new permit has been filed for the Enchanted Tiki Room at Magic Kingdom, according to permit records.
The permit lists Disney's in-house BVCC (Buena Vista Construction Company) as the contractor. No end date was included on the filing, so it defaults to a standard one-year expiration.
This is a BVCC permit, not a WDI (Walt Disney Imagineering) permit. WDI permits typically point to show changes, ride updates, or other creative work. BVCC permits usually cover general construction and maintenance, so this filing likely isn't tied to any changes to the attraction's story or scenes.
That said, we've seen cases before where a BVCC permit shows up first, followed later by a WDI permit for the same location. So it's worth keeping an eye on the Tiki Room going forward.
Right now, the Enchanted Tiki Room isn't listed for any refurbishment closure.
