Just 80 minutes after Disney announced Annual Passholder previews for the reimagined Test Track, EPCOT has already reached park reservation capacity for Passholders on July 13, the first day of previews.

As of 12:20 p.m. today, EPCOT is no longer available to reserve for Annual Passholders on that date, according to the Walt Disney World Park Pass Reservation system. Passholders who missed out should continue monitoring the reservation calendar as availability can shift at any time.

However, despite EPCOT hitting reservation capacity for July 13, Passholders still have a potential workaround to join the preview experience through the 1:00 pm virtual queue.

How to Join the Preview Without a Reservation to EPCOT

Disney's official guidelines for the Test Track Passholder preview include two virtual queue entry times each day:

  • 7:00 am – Available only to Passholders with a park reservation to EPCOT
  • 1:00 pm – Open to any Passholder with valid admission, regardless of park reservation

This means that even if you do not have a reservation to EPCOT on July 13, you can still try to join the 1:00 pm virtual queue, as long as you have a valid Annual Pass and are not blocked out on that date.

You do not need to be inside a park to join the 1:00 pm virtual queue. If successful in securing a boarding group, you can then enter EPCOT after 2:00 pm, even without a park reservation.

Test Track Preview Details

Passholder previews will take place July 13 through July 19, excluding July 17. Previews are limited to one ride per day via the virtual queue, and access is not guaranteed even with a successful queue attempt.

During the previews, Disney PhotoPass is offering complimentary downloads of Test Track attraction photos for all Passholders who participate. A new photo location has been added, featuring a futuristic backdrop inspired by the reimagined attraction’s design.

You know new Attractions can't have no IP in them unless they are paid for by someone else like Test Track.

I don't know whose Idea TBA was but I would not fire the Show Producer for a very obvious reason.

I had spotted that too. Was hoping for TT tee (without ears on it) and a vehicle model.

Is there any actual Test Track merch in the gift shop? All I saw were stuff for GM's cars and Lightning McQueen.

Got to ride this with my entire party of 11 last Friday (thanks to WDW & Epcot management for the special moment) getting two cars entirely to ourselves! In my opinion, 1.0 is still the best version. It's what the track layout was designed for, made the most sense throughout, and was cleverly written. 2.0 was really meh, though I liked the glowy visuals. As for 3.0, it is definitely an improvement, though again, it's being shoehorned into the track layout for 1.0, which results in some random "smart road" thing, and then the driving through the forest part, which was nice (I guess), but it serves no real purpose. Should have brought the Sea Serpent back in some capacity. The future city screen at the end is great, and the doors being open didn't distract from it as much as I thought. The speed part still rocks, though I felt like ALL the elevation changes throughout the ride were really rough, and I didn't remember that from the past (though it's been over 10 years since I rode 2.0). The adults in my family were not impressed by it, but we were really big fans of 1.0 (and John Michael Higgins!). The kids (ages 8, 7, 5, and 3) were terrified at times (the 3 yr old, who barely hit 40 inches right before the trip, was terrified the entire time), but the 5 yr old declared it his favorite ride of the trip and the other two "loved it" afterwards. Again, I really want to shout out WDW & Epcot management for making it possible for us to ride this early, despite having no "special privileges" like DVC or AP or Cast Member connections. Definitely the most "gruntled" I've felt about things in a long, long time.

They should have given PATF a new ride and if they needed to retheme SM done it without an IP maybe themed to the old West to fit with its next door neighbor.

5 here! It feels like the classic Test Track, in the sense it’s comparable to Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest as instant classics. That “era” of E-tickets was filled with such high quality when they tried, and it seems they’ve returned to it. 2.0 was laughably bad. 😂 Come to think of it, whoever did Tiana’s Bayou Adventure needs to be fired. PATF was the PERFECT IP to replace Splash with, and the preschool story of finding the missing ingredient they came up with looks even worse when you have Test Track’s team delivering an outstanding product.
