Magic Kingdom's Swiss Family Treehouse Set to Close for a Month-Long Refurbishment

According to Disney's refurbishment calendar, the Swiss Family Treehouse in Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close for maintenance beginning November 18, 2024.

The popular walkthrough attraction will remain closed for just over a month, with a reopening date currently set for December 20, 2024.

The Swiss Family Treehouse, inspired by the classic Disney film Swiss Family Robinson, offers guests an opportunity to explore the elaborate, hand-crafted structure built by a shipwrecked family. Disney hasn’t announced specific updates or changes for this refurbishment.

Site that shall not be named is reporting that scrims are down and both the water wheel and buckets are working again.

What’s going on here? Much of the tree is still covered in scaffolding months later. It looks awful.
