Disney Parks has dropped a new video in its ongoing Music & Ambience series: a three-hour Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge soundscape featuring music and ambient sounds from both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

The release includes a notable addition — all-new music from the updated Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, ahead of its May 22 debut featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu.

What's in the Soundscape

The full track list covers the land from end to end:

  • Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Entrance
  • Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Symphonic Suite
  • Savi's Workshop
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
  • NEW: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run feat. the Mandalorian and Grogu Mission
  • Radio transmissions from DJ R3X
  • Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Oga's Cantina: DJ R3X
  • Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
  • The forests of Batuu and Black Spire Outpost

About the Smugglers Run Update

The new Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run mission launches simultaneously at Walt Disney World and Disneyland on May 22, 2026 — the same day The Mandalorian and Grogu feature film opens in theaters.

The storyline puts you in the cockpit alongside Din Djarin and Grogu, chasing a shady deal between ex-Imperial officers and pirates. For the first time, you choose the destination — Bespin, the Death Star wreckage above Endor, or Coruscant — giving the ride real replayability.

Engineers get a new gameplay feature that lets them interact directly with Grogu during the mission. Pilots and gunners also see improvements, with clearer tasks and better feedback.

Walt Disney Imagineering rebuilt the attraction's visual system using Unreal Engine 5 — the same platform used to produce The Mandalorian on Disney+. Every cockpit now runs on upgraded NVIDIA hardware, with all media rendered in real time. Working with Industrial Light and Magic and Epic Games, Imagineers sourced 3D assets directly from Lucasfilm's production library.

You can watch the full Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge soundscape on the official Disney Parks YouTube channel now.

They decidedly built a land that was *not Tatooine* and forced it to be set in the sequels, and now each mission goes…where? The overcorrection here is hilarious.

Coming next summer - Star Wars: Starfighter, from the great visionary mind of Shawn Levy!

Because they tend to announce attractions shortly after they been approved to actually move forward. It’s fairly consistent.

Can’t forget the Star Tours smell!

I agree but I still think its continuing existence is redundant seeing as how they now have an entire land dedicated to the franchise. At least DHS is basically enough of a generic dumping ground for it to somewhat work. but at DL having it in a completely different part of the park, Tomorrowland no less is quite jarring. The re-do of DL's Tomorrowland can't come soon enough. https://vocal.media/wander/the-tomorrowland-problem-part-1

It is a very efficient crowd eater, with the multiple ‘star speeders’ operating. I love never having to wait for a ride. Star Tours rules! ✨ -

Just checking the date this thread started, nearly 2 years later. I understand wanting to promote this with the new movie but they announce things SO early sometimes it's wild

I agree, but apparently no one else does, as the ride is consistently listed at 5 minutes!

Star Tours is still where I like to get my ‘Star Wars ride fix’. :) -

I just think it is interesting that even the weakest versions of Star Tours. There are some amazing technological things going on with Smuggler's Run and some neat efficiency, queue etc... but it ultimately still feels like a video game than simulator adventure.

The common tie between the two is that the attempt at commercial exploitation off the screen superseded anything produced on the screen and there was no way to deny it. That killed the cranky fanbase. Because they not only poured their Pennies (and still do in many cases) into those dusty old movies…it was because of the feelings they felt triggered…not the themes, labels or even really the appearances in them. It’s been commented on for half century or so…in my misguided attempt to gain “some understanding”…the volumes of behind the scenes and print paints a picture. The OT era cannot be replicated…because it was imbedded in a unique social crossroads in the west were it fit perfectly. Lucas commented on that back then. So you can’t regrow that society in a lab in 1999 or 2015… But also in a deep dive you see that the push forward on both those misteps were identified in REAL TIME by the players making them. Rather famous recording of McCallum in the kitchen at the ranch after the first showing of the finished cut of phantom just lighting it up. Not sure if he knew he was being recorded? Repeating the same complaints that started in fandom immediately and never went away. With Disney it was more interference outside the studio. Original writer said he was told by “someone” not to let mark Hamill steal the movie. Funny considering he was in the end the entire backbone of the franchise…and still is. Paddling upstream when the current downstream is pleasant will never make any more sense. Never. That’s what we have here. But I’ll keep trying to “get it”

So please fill everyone in on what a “true fan” is, how they “really understand Star Wars”, and why they allegedly “get it” with regards to Batuu.
