Cast member previews are giving us our first full look at Soarin' Across America at EPCOT, and complete POV videos of the new film are being posted on social media.
The new film delivers on its "sea to shining sea" promise, taking you across a range of U.S. locations with the same hang glider motion, wind effects, and scents that have always defined the attraction.
The flight covers a wide sweep of American landscapes and cityscapes, including locations Disney confirmed ahead of opening:
- The rugged New England coastline
- New York Harbor
- Grand Canyon West
- The autumn colors of the heartland
- The bayous
- The great plains of the west
- The northern wilderness
- Sunlit island shores
Bruce Broughton's new arrangement of Jerry Goldsmith's original Soarin' score runs throughout. If you've ridden any version of this attraction before, the themes will be immediately familiar — updated but recognizable.
Before you board, the new Soarin' Challenge Across America trivia experience — built with National Geographic — runs in the queue. It pulls from 50 States, 5,000 Ideas and the National Geographic photo archives, with categories like "Most Likely to Reach for the Stars" and "Most Likely to Strike Gold."
Passholder previews run May 19 and 20 before Soarin' Across America opens to all guests on May 26.
