I've been kicking around the idea of automatically generating emails that ask for compensation once park downtime gets above some ridiculous threshold. We'd email it to you, you'd email it to the parks.
For example, 20% of IOA's ride capacity was lost due to downtime on Monday. For comparison:
USF was 8%
Epic was 14%
DHS was 17% (includes Slinky)
MK was 6%
EP was 5%
AK was 4%
So it was not obviously weather-related.
Average daily downtime for the WDW parks is around 4% with standard deviation < 4.
Downtime averages 5-6% at USF and IOA, and 9% at Epic, with standard deviation between 4 and 6.
For IOA specifically the mean is 6.2 with stdev 5.8. So one standard deviation is 12% and two standard deviations is 17.8%. A day with 20% downtime at IOA is rare enough that it only happens a few times per year.

↩ replying to phoenician22If it's a fairly common part that has a history of needing to be replaced, they should always have extra on hand. I've been working in manufacturing for decades, and maintenance departments always have a critical parts list which require a minimum inventory of those parts to be available at all times. If it was a custom machined part that is made-to-order, than that is a different story.
