Have they fixed the gash in Waldorf's head yet?

Like the majority of the things Imagineering creates and completes, things usually are NEVER released to guests or, like this, briefly releases to guests... It feels like to me, Imagineers are given busy work since they are getting paid anyway....

Again, the area would likely have been far more expansive and likely still in place had Jim Henson lived at least a few more years.

Maybe not popular enough to continue dedicating an area to it, but just enough to cram them in a quickie referb to say, see still here, and put out some merchandise. Not sure monsters is that popular at this time either, but it will be new.

Well, I can't think of any other explanation. People have been suggesting an Electric Mayhem retheme of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster for a while before it was announced, and they announced it on the same day that they announced they were closing MuppetVision. Why did they close MuppetVision? Presumably because "the Muppets aren't popular anymore" or whatever... but if "the Muppets aren't popular anymore", why would they retheme another ride in the parks to them? Obviously removing Aerosmith was a bonus, but I'm sure there were other, more popular IPs they could have rethemed the attraction to. The Incredibles? Phineas and Ferb? There could've been a pitch to turn it into a Zootopia ride for all I know.

Really wish they did this for day guests and not just influencers.

I famously certainly agree with that.

I just realized something... We FINALLY got an actual legit muppets gift shop after SO MANY YEARS. That alone is a win.

I think he offended the administrators here judging by the fact that his url is often censored, not that I blame them.

One of the best opening ceremonies for a new attraction opening. Would have loved to be there.

Still catching up on all the posts about this but some random thoughts... If you are a big fan of Aerosmith or are some freak that hates the Muppets, I understand why this might disappoint you but for everyone else, I don't get it unless you are actively comparing this to MV3D. In that case, yes, this stinks, but this isn't a direct replacement and by making that comparison you are just ensuring you will always be disappointed. 10000% MV3D should have never closed, and maybe I am wrong, but it just feels like a bunch of people are so angry/upset/irritated over it that they are projecting those feelings onto this project. This should be compared to old RNRC, not MV3D and when you do that, it is an improvement over what we had. Preshow is better, ride is the same and I guess more cutouts is something. Yes, the music changed, but I don't think that will bother most people. Now they just need to drop the villains show and move some things around to make room for a new Muppets Great Movie Ride next door and this area will be good to go.
