Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new Notice of Commencement for work at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT's France Pavilion.
The permit is filed with frequent WDI partner Icarus Exhibits listed as the contractor. The listed scope of work is the installation of set elements.
The timing lines up with Disney's own statement from November 2025, when the ride reopened following its 3D to 2D conversion. At the time, Disney confirmed that "Remy's fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months." This permit appears to be the next step in delivering on that promise.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure closed briefly in November 2025 for a planned overhaul of its projection system.
The update replaced the original 3D projection system with 2D digital visuals, removing the need for 3D glasses while delivering what Disney desribed as sharper, brighter imagery throughout the show scenes. New props and lighting enhancements were also part of the package, with Disney indicating at the time that additional set details would be added to the queue and attraction in the months following reopening.
A parallel update took place at the original version of the ride — Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy at Disneyland Paris — which received the same 2D projection system as part of the same refresh program.
The new permit suggests that installation work is now moving forward at EPCOT. No start date or completion timeline is indicated in the filing.
