Disney's Animal Kingdom is installing new electrical infrastructure at Conservation Station as the park prepares to bring Bluey and Bingo to guests in summer 2026.

The permit, filed January 8, 2025, covers electrical installation at Conservation Station. Maddox Electric Company will install a new transformer, disconnect, 200A panel, and 100A relay panel for a future addition in the EER room. Disney Live Entertainment is listed as the affiliated department for the employee.

What's Coming to Conservation Station

Disney announced in December 2025 that Bluey and Bingo would bring a new character experience to Disney's Animal Kingdom in summer 2026. You'll meet the characters at Conservation Station, where the park will offer games, dancing, and interactive activities inspired by the series.

The experience will feature animal-themed games from the show, including butterfly Keepy Uppy. Disney describes it as a "fun excursion to Conservation Station" with Bluey and Bingo leading playful activities.

Part of Larger Bluey Expansion

This Animal Kingdom addition is part of a broader Bluey expansion across Disney properties in 2026.

Disneyland Park will debut "Bluey's Best Day Ever!" at Fantasyland Theatre on March 22, transforming the space into Bluey's school with games, music, and appearances by characters like The Grannies and Chattermax.

Bluey and Bingo will also appear on select Disney Cruise Line sailings with meet-and-greets, dance parties, morning events like Wakey Wakey, and family games including Who's Behind the Curtain and the Pyjama Bash.

Conservation Station currently houses animal exhibits and educational displays. The area will need to accommodate the new character meet-and-greet alongside its existing functions when the Bluey experience opens.

In the Wal-Mart in Hamlin, I honestly could see it... Would have to be a very well read child though!

You see, we'd be fine with replacing Dino-Rama with something that's still about dinosaurs. Disney doesn't have any popular dinosaur-related IPs, so instead, we're gonna get "WE DON'T TALK ABOUT BRUNO NO NO NO" and Indiana Jones.

Yes that's true. Flights of wonder did have that UP overlay for a bit, though. Dinoland was simply a tacky roadside carnival with some flat rides, and one decent attraction with a small animal area. Both Harambe and Anandapur are fictional villages as well. If anything TA seems more fitting at DAK then Dinoland did, but until the final product its all heresy. Also hand-sculpted figures sounds alot more appealing than lightly themed spinner and a coaster with a few cardboard dinosaurs, even if one is IP.

It was on point as far as theme. Really impressive actually. Food was the weak spot.

Brer Panther7 days ago

Exactly! Africa and Asia have ANIMALS in them. Tropical Americas is just an excuse to put two IPs that aren't about animals in the park.

Tom Morrow7 days ago

Yep. This was the same attitude with Tough to Be a Bug. "It's okay, because it was outdated. Zootopia may not totally fit but at least it will still probably be a good attraction!" (Narrator: "It wasn't.") Note how Asia wasn't just an excuse to shove in a Mulan attraction and Africa wasn't just Lion King Land (the show being moved there later on to make room for Pandora). Or how all the thematic elements in both villages are true to their regions and culture and they don't make up something about Nepal sculptors creating statues of their favorite Disney characters.

Yes, that was the theme of ANIMAL Kingdom. Geographic areas. Can't think of anything else that might've been the focus. I know, I know, I'm supposed to pretend they'll make the rides educational and focused on the animals. Then when that doesn't happen I'm supposed to pretend the park always just wanted them there and being the focus was never important.

Off theme like Tropical america isn’t as much fitting as Africa and Asia. LMAOOOOOO

WorldExplorer7 days ago

"This is off theme." "It's okay because I don't like Dino-Rama." Again. EVERY TIME.

Tom Morrow7 days ago

Objectively false. In terms of space dedicated, DinoRama was about 1/3rd of the total land. The rest of Dinoland USA was as elaborately themed as the rest of DAK. This video is a good walkthrough:

Centauri Space Station7 days ago

Dinorama made up 2/3 of the land. Primeval whirl, triceratop spin, a bunch of carnival games, the gift shop… Plus restaurantosaurus was nothing to write home about. Only DINOSAUR and the boneyard felt permanent of any kind.

I thought that the carousel and restaurant would also be Encanto but I guess I was wrong. But offff courrrse the carousel has to be "a wood worker's favorite Disney characters". It can't just be culture based anymore, or unique and interesting just for the sake of it - it has to be IP. Today's Disney Park goer must be doing the Leo Points At the TV at all times while in the parks. You are conflating DinoRama, a small, crappy section, with DinoLand USA as a whole, which the rest of it was well themed and permanent feeling. and Camp MinnieMickey was rightfully replaced with something more permanent.

Because the train is traveling from Africa?

Centauri Space Station7 days ago

Tropical america looks for all purposes like a continuation of Africa and Asia so no, not at all. Dinoland was as permanent feeling as Camp minnie mickey. And why is it Encanto land when that’s literally 1/5 of the whole land?
