What looks very likely to be Vekoma coaster track support columns have arrived at a staging site near the Monsters, Inc. flying door coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
These columns will be lifted into place and anchored to the foundation footers that were poured in recent weeks. Once installed vertically, they will form the structural framework that supports the suspended coaster track system.
The arrival of track support columns is a major construction milestone. With foundation work nearing completion and footers in place, the project is now transitioning from groundwork to vertical assembly. Once the support columns are installed, the actual coaster track segments will follow.
The Monsters, Inc. flying door coaster will be Disney's first suspended coaster, with ride vehicles gliding through the iconic door vault scene from the film. The attraction will feature a vertical lift launch system and will be fully enclosed once the building structure is complete.
