Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie at Disney's Hollywood Studios is heading into another closure. Disney says the Mickey Shorts Theater will temporarily close starting October 28 2026.
No reason has been given, but the timing points strongly to Disney Jollywood Nights. In 2025, the attraction closed from late October through late December to serve as a merchandise location for the after-hours holiday event — and the same pattern appears to be repeating.
If that's the case again, expect the closure to run through early January 2027, though Disney has not confirmed a reopening date.
This will be the fourth time in under a year the Mickey Shorts Theater has closed to support another event or activation, following closures for:
- Disney Jollywood Nights — late October to late December 2025
- Star Wars May the 4th Merchandise Event — April 29 to May 5, 2026
- Annual Passholder Kermit the Frog Magnet Distribution — August 9 to September 27, 2026
The attraction only reopened a few days ago, on September 28.
If you're planning a Hollywood Studios visit and want to catch the show, you have until October 27.
